In the village of Sounds in Isere, there is the Garden of the petrifying Fountains carried out on an old discharge in edge of Isere. For small the history, the visitors embarked on the quay at Saint Nazaire in Royans and the paddle boat finished its course with Sounds with some cables of a lot of plastic bags. In the 1st time, it was proposed to come to clean the site with the owners. The answer was negative but he was proposed the sale of the site. This association of circumstance joined together the funds and it bought this small holding. It took 3 years to clean it.

The project to work out a garden was born to avoid the return to the country of origin. The valorization of this site could become a place of visit. It took several years before opening it en1994 with the public. The collaboration of a gardener and an architect allowed the creation of this garden with a set of themes based on the spot (Asia, South America, Australia.) and on petrifying water and the various sources on the village.

Water charged with limestone leaves the evacuation the garden the castle located above garden. It streams on the foam which pushes on the rock. The chemical reaction of calcium carbonate crystallizes out of calcite. Thus, there is a long work of accumulation of crystallized foam and foam.
